Skiing Taos in New Mexico

A picture of Kachina Peak in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico on a wonderful blue sky day untracked before the chairlift was built. It's a very round mountain peak and this picture is looking at the round peak.

Taos, New Mexico

Kachina Peak is 12,481 ft tall, located on the backside of Taos Ski Valley. The peak used to be hike only terrain. There is now a lift to the top and you can lap it on a good day usually later in the season. It’s amazing expert terrain with a great view of Wheeler Peak which is the highest in New Mexico at 13,161 ft / 4,011 meters.
